Gir National Park is accessible by road from major cities in Gujarat. Buses and taxis are available from Junagadh (71 km) and Veraval (42 km) to the park. You can also drive your own vehicle. From Ahmedabad, the journey is approximately 7 hours. Expect to pay around ₹2,500-₹4,000 for a taxi from Junagadh or Veraval to Gir National Park. Parking is available near the park entrance for a nominal fee.
Train
The nearest railway stations are Junagadh (65 km) and Veraval (72 km). Trains connect these stations to major cities like Ahmedabad and Rajkot. From the railway station, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to Gir National Park. Taxi fares from Junagadh or Veraval to Gir National Park typically range from ₹2,500 to ₹4,000. Bus fares are more economical, costing approximately ₹100-₹200.
Air
The closest airport to Gir National Park is Keshod Airport (54 km). Rajkot Airport (160 km) is another option. From either airport, you can hire a taxi to reach Gir National Park. A taxi from Keshod Airport to Gir National Park will cost around ₹3,000-₹5,000. From Rajkot Airport, a taxi will cost approximately ₹4,000-₹6,000.
