The Jain art collection is particularly noteworthy, featuring 76,000 handwritten Jain manuscripts, including 500 illustrated ones, and 45,000 printed books. Beyond Jain art, the museum also showcases a wide array of Indian art and artifacts from various periods and regions. The Smt. Madhuri Desai Gallery features sculptures reflecting art from different parts of India, Nepal, and Tibet. The museum also houses collections of coins, wood carvings, and bronze Buddhas. The L.D. Museum is located on the premises of the L.D. Institute of Indology, near Gujarat University in Navrangpura. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and closed on Mondays and public holidays. Admission is free.
