Once in Gulmarg, the Gondola base is about 1.5km from the market; you can walk or hire a local taxi. Bus fares are nominal. Taxi from Srinagar Airport to Gulmarg costs approximately INR 1500-2000.

Gondola
The final ascent to Apharwat Peak is via the Gulmarg Gondola. Purchase tickets for Phase 1 (Gulmarg to Kongdoori) and Phase 2 (Kongdoori to Apharwat Peak). Board the Gondola at the base station. Phase 1 costs approximately INR 740 for a return pass. Phase 2 costs around INR 950 for a two-way ticket. Ensure you arrive before 2 PM to allow enough time to ascend to Phase 2.
