Gondola
The primary access to Kongdori is via the Gulmarg Gondola. From Gulmarg, purchase a Gondola ticket. The Gondola operates in two phases : Phase 1 from Gulmarg to Kongdori Station, and Phase 2 from Kongdori Station to Kongdori Mountain (near Apharwat Peak). Gondola tickets can be booked online or at the counter. Online booking is recommended to avoid queues. Typical costs for the Gondola ride are as follows : * Phase 1 (Gulmarg to Kongdori): Approximately INR 810 per person (including convenience charges). * Phase 2 (Kongdori to Apharwat Peak): Approximately INR 1010 per person (including convenience charges). * Combined Ticket (Both Phases): Approximately INR 1820. Note that prices may vary, and it's best to check the official website for current fares. The Gondola operates from 10 AM to 5 PM, subject to weather conditions.

From your accommodation in Gulmarg, take a local taxi or auto-rickshaw to the Gulmarg Gondola base station. The taxi fare is around ₹200-₹300 depending on your starting point. Once at the Gondola base station, purchase your Gondola tickets at the counter. The ticket prices are ₹700 for a one-way trip and ₹1,200 for a round trip. Ensure you check the Gondola hours (10:36 AM to 6:00 PM) and plan your return journey accordingly. The Gondola will take you directly to Kongdori.
