To reach Chhota Dara by car, start from Manali, approximately 67 kilometers away. Take the NH3 road towards Kullu and continue until Gramphu. From Gramphu, follow the Gramphu-Batal-Kaza Road for about 20 kilometers. The road can be challenging, so drive carefully. Ensure your fuel tank is full in Manali as fuel stations may be infrequent along this route. There are no tolls.

Public Transport

If using public transport, take a bus from Manali to Kaza. HRTC (Himachal Road Transport Corporation) operates buses on this route. From Kaza, hire a taxi or take a shared jeep to Chhota Dara. The taxi ride from Kaza to Chhota Dara takes about 45 minutes to an hour and costs around INR 1500-2000, depending on the vehicle and negotiation. Shared jeeps from Kaza cost around INR 300-500 per person. Check the bus schedule in advance, as the frequency may vary.
