Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Manali, walk north on Mall Road towards Old Manali. Continue until you reach the Old Manali Bridge. Cross the bridge and follow the path into Old Manali. Keep walking until you see signs for Kharma Waterfall. The path is steep in some places and takes about 30 minutes to reach the waterfall. Alternatively, from the center of Old Manali, start at the Old Manali Bridge. Walk towards the north side of the bridge and follow the winding path that leads you along the river. Continue walking for about 15-20 minutes until you reach a fork in the path. Take the left path that leads you uphill. You will notice signs pointing towards Kharma waterfall. Keep walking for another 10-15 minutes. The sound of water will guide you. There are no costs associated with walking to Kharma Waterfall.

• Trekking

  From Old Manali, find the trek starting point near the village. The trek is approximately 2 km long and takes about 1 hour. Follow the trail signs leading to Kharma Waterfall. The trail goes through lush forests and offers stunning views of the valley. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water. Local guides can be hired in Old Manali to lead you to Kharma waterfall. The cost for a local guide typically ranges from ₹500 to ₹1000 for half a day, depending on negotiation. There are no costs associated with trekking to Kharma Waterfall, unless you hire a local guide.

• Car

  If driving from Manali, head towards Old Manali. Take the road that leads to the location 7537+9X4, which is the approximate address for Kharma waterfall and natural pool. Once you reach Old Manali, look for signs towards the waterfall. You may need to park your vehicle at a designated parking area and walk a short distance to the waterfall. Parking near Old Manali costs approximately ₹100-₹200. Alternatively, hire a taxi or auto-rickshaw from New Manali to Old Manali. From there, follow walking or trekking directions to the waterfall.
