The final approach to Waichin Valley involves a trek from Malana Dam, the nearest road head. From Kasol, take a bus or taxi to Jari, then another taxi to Malana Dam. The trek from the dam to Waichin Valley is approximately 4-5 kilometers uphill and takes about 2-4 hours. The trail is a gradual climb with some steep sections, passing through forests and alongside the Malana stream. Cost: * Bus from Kasol to Jari: Approximately INR 30-50. * Taxi from Jari to Malana Dam: Approximately INR 500-800. Note: The last bus from Malana Dam leaves around 5:00 PM.
