From Manali, taxis are a common way to reach Rohtang Pass. The journey typically takes 2-3 hours. Taxi fares range from ₹2,500 to ₹4,600 depending on the car type and season. Be sure to confirm that the taxi includes the Rohtang Pass entry permit. The permit itself costs ₹500 per vehicle, plus a congestion charge of ₹50 for cars or ₹100 for SUVs. These charges are often included in the overall taxi fare. Note that permits are limited, with only 1200 vehicles allowed per day. Parking is limited at the pass.
