Sajla Waterfall: A Hidden Gem Near Manali

Sajla Waterfall, located approximately 10 kilometers from Manali in Himachal Pradesh, is a hidden treasure waiting to be explored. Situated on the left bank of the River Beas, in the quaint Sajla village, this natural waterfall offers a refreshing escape from the bustling tourist hubs of Manali. The journey to Sajla Waterfall is an experience in itself. The most convenient way to reach Sajla village is by car or bike, taking the Naggar Road from Kullu. For those using public transport, local Kullu-Manali buses that go via Naggar are available. Get off at Sajla Village and walk towards the Vishnu Temple, which is around 500 meters from the main road. From the Vishnu Temple, a 1-kilometer trek will take you deeper into the valley, with the path to the waterfall well-indicated along the route. The trek is easy to moderate, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced hikers. The trail meanders through lush deodar forests, alongside gurgling streams, and offers picturesque views of the valley. Once you reach Sajla Waterfall, you'll be mesmerized by its sheer grandeur. The water cascades down from a height, creating a misty veil that adds to its charm. Visit the Lord Vishnu temple, also known as Sajla temple, which features rich wooden carvings. On the outer walls of the temple, there are carvings of Shiva-Parvati with Ganesha and Krishna-Radha. In the vicinity of the temple is a very old tree, where the villagers come to pray and worship.
