Car

If you're traveling by car, start from Ranchi, the capital city of Jharkhand. Head towards the NH 23 highway and continue on this road for approximately 10 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Ranchi to Khunti; you will need to take this direction. After about 20 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the left branch which leads to a smaller road towards Bargai Mount. Continue on this road for another 5 kilometers until you see a sign for Bargai Mount. The location will be on your right. Parking is available near the entrance.

Public Transportation

To reach Bargai Mount via public transport, start by taking a bus from Ranchi Bus Stand to Khunti. Buses frequently depart and the journey takes about 1 hour, costing around 50 INR. Once you arrive at Khunti, you will need to hire a local auto-rickshaw or taxi to take you to Bargai Mount. The distance is approximately 15 kilometers, and the fare for an auto-rickshaw should be around 150-200 INR. Confirm the price before starting the ride. The driver will be familiar with the route to Bargai Mount.

Combination of Car and Walking

If you have access to a car, drive to the nearest point where vehicles can park close to Bargai Mount. From there, it's a short hike of about 1 kilometer to the top. Ensure you wear comfortable walking shoes as the trail can be uneven. The hike should take roughly 20-30 minutes depending on your pace.
