Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from Ranchi, take NH 18 towards Jamshedpur. After approximately 120 km, take the exit towards Jamshedpur - Chandil Road (NH 18). Continue for about 30 km until you reach the town of Chandil. From Chandil, follow the signs towards the Palani Waterfall Reservoir. The last stretch involves smaller roads leading directly to J67X+4VF, near Palani Waterfall. Parking is available at the reservoir, but be prepared to pay an entry fee of INR 40 for a four-wheeler.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    From Ranchi, you can take a bus to Jamshedpur. Buses operate frequently and the fare is around INR 200. Once in Jamshedpur, switch to a local bus or auto-rickshaw heading towards Chandil. The fare for the local bus is approximately INR 50. After reaching Chandil, hire a taxi or auto-rickshaw for the remaining 20 km to the Palani Waterfall Reservoir.
