As you approach Sonamarg, follow the signs to the town center. Once in Sonamarg, continue on the road towards Thajiwas Glacier, which leads you to Krishnasar Lake. You may need to park your car at a designated area and hire a local pony or guide for the last stretch to the lake, which is about 6 kilometers away. Expect to pay around INR 500-800 for the pony ride.

To reach Krishnasar Lake using public transportation, start at the Srinagar Bus Stand and take a bus heading towards Sonamarg. The journey will take around 3 to 4 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Sonamarg Bus Stand, you'll need to hire a local pony or jeep to take you to Krishnasar Lake. The pony ride will cost approximately INR 500-800 and covers around 6 kilometers to the lake. Be sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
