After reaching Sonmarg, continue on the road leading towards Thajiwas Glacier. You will need to park your car at the designated parking area in Sonmarg. From there, hire a local pony or a guide who can take you to Nilnag, as the last stretch to Nilnag is not accessible by car. The pony ride usually costs around INR 800 to 1200 per person, depending on the negotiation.

Public Transportation

For those using public transport, take a bus from Srinagar to Sonmarg. The bus service is frequent and costs around INR 200 to 300 per person. Upon arrival in Sonmarg, you'll find local transportation options such as shared taxis or ponies to reach Nilnag.
