If you're driving from the city of Kochi, head east on NH 544 towards Kottayam. Continue for about 70 km until you reach the town of Kizhakkancherry. From Kizhakkancherry, take the local road towards Mangalam Dam. Follow the signs to Kadappara Waterfalls, which are located near the dam. The last few kilometers may involve narrow roads, so drive carefully. There is no parking fee, but ensure your vehicle is parked safely.
Public Transportation
From Kochi, take a bus to Kottayam. Buses run frequently and the journey takes about 2-3 hours. Once you reach Kottayam, transfer to a bus heading towards Kizhakkancherry. After reaching Kizhakkancherry, you may need to hire a local auto-rickshaw to reach Mangalam Dam and Kadappara Waterfalls. The rickshaw fare will vary, but expect to pay around 200-300 INR for the trip. Ensure to negotiate the fare before starting your ride.
