    If you are driving from Kochi, take the NH 47 towards Alappuzha. Continue on NH 47 for about 23 km until you reach the junction at Kottayam. Take a right onto NH 49. Continue on NH 49 for approximately 35 km. You will see signs for Valara Waterfalls as you approach Chillithodu. The entrance to the falls is located along NH 49.

    From Kochi, head to the Ernakulam South Railway Station and take a train towards Kottayam. Get off at Kottayam Railway Station. From Kottayam, take a local bus heading towards Munnar. Ask the bus conductor to drop you at Chillithodu, which is about 35 km from Kottayam. Once you get off at Chillithodu, Valara Waterfalls is a short walk from the bus stop along NH 49.
