Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Esplanade area, start at the Esplanade Metro Station. Exit the station and head towards the main road, Jawaharlal Nehru Road (also known as Chowringhee Road). Walk northwards along this road for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will pass notable landmarks such as the New Empire Cinema and the Maidan Park on your right side. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Queens Way. Turn left onto Queens Way. The Victoria Memorial will be on your right side at 1 Queens Way, Maidan. The walk will take about 20-25 minutes.

  • Public Bus

    From Esplanade, you can take a bus towards Maidan. Look for buses that have 'Maidan' as a destination. You can catch these buses from the Esplanade bus stop. The bus fare is usually around ₹10-₹15. Get off at the Maidan bus stop, which is very close to Victoria Memorial. From there, it's a short walk to the memorial, approximately 5 minutes. Just head towards the Victoria Memorial's entrance, which will be clearly visible.
