If you are driving from Kovalam, head northwest on Lighthouse Road towards Chowara Beach. Continue straight for about 6 km until you reach the junction at Poonthura. Turn left onto the Poonthura Road. After approximately 2 km, you will see signage for Edayar Island. Find a suitable parking area nearby as there may not be parking directly on the island.

To use public transport, take a local bus from Kovalam to Thiruvananthapuram. Buses are frequent, and the fare is usually around ₹20-₹30. Once you arrive at the Thiruvananthapuram Central Bus Station, switch to a bus heading to Poonthura. From Poonthura, you can either walk (approximately 1 km) or take an auto-rickshaw (fare about ₹50) to reach the entrance of Edayar Island.
