Car
If you are driving from Leh, take the Leh-Kargil Highway (NH 1D). After approximately 100 km, you will reach the town of Khalsi. Continue on NH 1D for another 65 km until you reach the town of Kargil. From Kargil, follow the signs towards the Shyok River road; this road leads to Turtuk. The distance from Kargil to Turtuk is about 80 km. Expect to spend around 4-5 hours on the road, depending on weather conditions and road conditions.
