Getting There

    If you are driving from Leh, head northwest on Fort Road. Follow the road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit at the roundabout onto Chubi Road. Continue for about 1 kilometer, and then turn left onto Sankar Road. Follow this road for approximately 2 kilometers, and you will arrive at Sankar Gompa, which is located at the end of the road. Parking is available nearby.

    From Leh's main bus station, take a local bus heading towards Khardungla or Diskit. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at Sankar Gompa. The bus will take you to a drop-off point near the monastery. The fare is typically around 20-30 INR. After getting off, it's a short walk of about 1 kilometer uphill to reach the entrance of the Gompa.
