Walking
From the main market area of Leh, head towards the Leh Main Bazaar. Walk straight through the bazaar until you reach the intersection with the Fort Road. Take a left onto Fort Road and continue walking. You will pass several small shops and cafes along the way. Keep walking for about 1 kilometer until you reach a steep incline. This will lead you up to the base of Namgyal Hill where Leh Palace is located. Follow the path that leads upwards. The palace is situated on top of the hill, and you will see signs pointing you towards it.

If you are near the Shanti Stupa, you can take an alternate route. From Shanti Stupa, head back down the hill towards the main road. Once you reach the road, turn left and walk straight for about 200 meters until you reach the main intersection. From there, follow the previous directions towards Leh Palace by taking Fort Road and walking up the incline.
