From Mcleodganj, head towards Dharamshala on the main road. Follow the signs for Dharamshala and continue for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the intersection at Bhagsunag. Take a right turn towards Kareri Village. Drive for another 18 kilometers, passing through the scenic landscapes and small villages. Look out for a sign indicating the direction to Kareri Lake. Please note that the road may be narrow and winding in some sections. Park your vehicle at the designated parking area in Kareri Village.

Public Transportation (Bus)
From Mcleodganj, walk to the nearest bus stop and catch a bus to Dharamshala. Buses run frequently, and the fare is usually around โน10-โน20. Once you reach Dharamshala, transfer to a local bus that goes to Kareri Village. The bus fare to Kareri Village is approximately โน30-โน50. The bus ride will take about 45 minutes. After reaching Kareri Village, you can either walk to the lake (approximately 9 kilometers) or hire a local taxi for around โน300-โน500.
