Car
If you're driving from Mcleodganj, head south on Jogiwara Road towards the main road. Merge onto McLeod Ganj - Dharamshala Road (NH 503) and continue for approximately 5 km. Follow the signs towards Dharamshala. Once you reach the main intersection at Kotwali Bazar, turn left onto Kachehri Road. Continue on Kachehri Road for about 1 km, and you will find the State War Memorial on your right. There is usually ample parking available nearby.

Public Bus
From Mcleodganj, you can take a local bus from the main bus stand towards Dharamshala. The buses are frequent and cost around INR 10-20. After about 15-20 minutes, get off at the Kotwali Bazar stop. From there, walk towards Kachehri Road, which is about a 10-minute walk. Head left on Kachehri Road for about 1 km until you reach the State War Memorial.

For a more comfortable option, you can hire a taxi from Mcleodganj to the State War Memorial. Taxis are available at various points in Mcleodganj, and the ride should take about 15-20 minutes, costing approximately INR 300-500 depending on negotiation. The driver should be familiar with the location, but you can also provide them with the address: Kachehri Road, Jawahar Nagar, Dharamshala.

If you prefer to walk and enjoy the scenery, you can hike from Mcleodganj to the State War Memorial. Start at the main square in Mcleodganj and head down Jogiwara Road. After around 1.5 km, you will reach the intersection at Kotwali Bazar. Turn left onto Kachehri Road and walk for another 1 km to reach the memorial. The total walking distance is approximately 2.5 km and will take about 40-50 minutes.
