Car
If you are driving, start from the center of Munnar. Head south on the Munnar - Kumily Road (NH183). After approximately 10 km, you will see a sign for Malayil Kallan Guha (Rock Cave). Turn left onto a smaller road leading to the cave. The cave is located about 1 km down this road. Please note that parking may be limited near the cave, so arrive early to secure a spot.
Public Bus
To reach Rock cave using public transportation, take a bus from Munnar to Kumily. Buses for Kumily depart regularly from the Munnar bus station. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you reach Kumily, you can hire a local auto-rickshaw or taxi to take you to Malayil Kallan Guha. The auto-rickshaw ride will take about 15-20 minutes. Ensure you agree on the fare before starting the trip.
Auto-rickshaw
For a more direct route, you can hire an auto-rickshaw from Munnar to Malayil Kallan Guha. This option allows for more flexibility. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes.
