The bus ride will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at the Devprayag Bus Stand, exit the bus and head towards the main road. Devprayag is a small town, and you can easily find signs directing you to the confluence of the Ganges and Alaknanda rivers, which is the main attraction.

Shared Taxi/Auto Rickshaw

You can also opt for a shared taxi or an auto rickshaw from Rishikesh to Devprayag. Head to the nearest taxi stand, usually located near the main market or bus stand. Negotiate a fare or ask for a shared taxi heading to Devprayag. The journey will take about 1 hour. Once you reach Devprayag, ask the driver to drop you near the riverbanks or the main temple area to explore the scenic views.

Walking (for locals)

If you are feeling adventurous and have the stamina, you can hike towards Devprayag from Rishikesh. This will be a challenging trek, so ensure you are well-prepared with water and snacks. Start from the Laxman Jhula area, follow the trail along the river, and head towards the hills. This will take a considerable time and is only recommended for experienced trekkers. Keep an eye out for local paths leading toward Devprayag.
