If you are traveling by car, the most straightforward route to Kareng Ghar is to start from the nearest major city, Jorhat in Assam. From Jorhat, take the NH 37 (National Highway 37) towards Garhgaon. After approximately 30 kilometers, keep an eye out for the sign for Garhgaon. Follow the signs to your destination. As you approach Garhgaon, you can use GPS coordinates (26.9363013, 94.7450354) for precise navigation. There is no entry fee to visit Kareng Ghar; however, ensure your vehicle has enough fuel before you head out.
Public Transportation
To reach Kareng Ghar using public transportation, you can take a bus from Jorhat to Garhgaon. Buses frequently depart from Jorhat's main bus station. The journey takes about 1 hour and costs around ₹50-₹100. Upon reaching Garhgaon, you can hire a local auto-rickshaw or a taxi to take you to Kareng Ghar, which is approximately 5 kilometers away. The auto-rickshaw fare should be around ₹30-₹50. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your ride.
