If you are traveling by car, start from Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha. Take NH16 towards Cuttack and then merge onto NH55 towards Angul. Continue on NH55 for approximately 130 km. Once you reach Angul, follow the signs to Satkosia Tiger Reserve. The reserve is located at FPR9+5H3, Hakim Pada Udyan, Hakimapada, Angul, Odisha 759106. Ensure to have a GPS or a map handy for the final route, as the roads can be less marked.
Public Transportation - Bus
For those using public transport, you can take a bus from Bhubaneswar to Angul. Buses are available regularly from the Bhubaneswar bus station. The journey takes about 3 to 4 hours depending on traffic and the type of bus. Once you reach Angul bus station, you can hire a taxi or auto-rickshaw to take you to Satkosia Tiger Reserve. The distance from Angul bus station to the reserve is approximately 30 km.
