Getting There

Walking
Start from the Ranchi Railway Station. Upon exiting the station, head south on Station Road for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Main Road. At this intersection, turn right onto Main Road and continue walking straight for about 2 kilometers. You will cross important landmarks like the Ranchi Lake on your left. After reaching the intersection with Circular Road, continue straight onto Circular Road for 1 kilometer. Look for the sign leading to Jagannathpur Temple. Follow the signs for another 1 kilometer until you reach the base of Jagannath Hill. From there, you can start your ascent to the hilltop.

Public Transport
From the Ranchi Railway Station, take a local bus heading towards Jagannathpur. The bus stand is adjacent to the railway station. Ask for buses that specifically mention Jagannathpur or Jagannath Hill. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Jagannathpur, get off at the nearest stop to Jagannath Temple. From there, it’s a short walk of about 500 meters to the base of Jagannath Hill. Follow the footpath leading up to the hill.

At the Ranchi Railway Station, you can find auto-rickshaws available for hire. Inform the driver that you want to go to Jagannathpur. The journey should take approximately 25-30 minutes depending on traffic. Once you reach Jagannathpur, ask the driver to drop you off at the foot of Jagannath Hill. From there, you can easily walk up to the hilltop.
