Public Bus
From central Ranchi, head to the Ranchi Bus Stand (also known as Ratu Road Bus Stand). Look for buses heading towards Patratu or Kanke. Ensure you take a bus that specifically mentions 'Patratu Valley' or stops at Kanke Patratu Road. The journey will take roughly 45 minutes, and the fare is usually around ₹30-₹50. Once you reach the Kanke area, disembark at the nearest stop to Kanke Patratu Road.
Auto Rickshaw
After reaching Kanke, you can hire an auto-rickshaw from the bus stop. Tell the driver you want to go to Patratu Valley. The ride will take about 15-20 minutes, and the fare should be around ₹100-₹150. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand, or ask if the auto has a meter.
Cycle Rickshaw
If you prefer a more leisurely pace, you can also opt for a cycle rickshaw from the Kanke area. This option is more environmentally friendly and allows you to enjoy the scenery. The fare will be slightly cheaper than an auto-rickshaw, typically around ₹50-₹100, and the journey will take about 30 minutes.
