Travel Guide to Shivpuri Beach

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Rishikesh Bus Station, exit the station and head south on the main road towards the Ganga River. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the iconic Laxman Jhula (a suspension bridge). Cross the bridge and follow the road as it curves left. After crossing the bridge, you will see a sign for Shivpuri. Follow this road towards Shivpuri for approximately 7 kilometers. The beach is located on the banks of the river in Shivpuri.

• Auto-Rickshaw

  From any location in Rishikesh, you can easily find an auto-rickshaw. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Shivpuri Beach. The journey should take about 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Most drivers are familiar with the area, so you can relax and enjoy the scenery as you approach your destination.

• Cycle

  If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Rishikesh. Start from the main market area and cycle towards Laxman Jhula. From there, follow the same route as if you were walking: cross the Laxman Jhula and continue on the road towards Shivpuri for about 7 kilometers. Be cautious of traffic and enjoy the ride along the Ganga River.

• Trekking

  For the adventurous, you can opt for a trekking route. Start from Rishikesh, head towards the Neer Garh Waterfall, and then take the trail that leads towards Shivpuri. This trek is approximately 5 kilometers and offers beautiful views of the landscape and river. Make sure to wear good trekking shoes and carry enough water!
