If you are in the center of Rishikesh, start at the Triveni Ghat. Head north on the Rishikesh - Haridwar Road (NH58) for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left path heading towards Shivpuri. Continue walking for about 3 kilometers, passing by various small shops and eateries. You will see the sign for Vashishtha Gufa Ashram on your right. The ashram is located along the Haridwar Rishikesh Badrinath Road.

From any location in Rishikesh, you can easily find an auto-rickshaw. Inform the driver that you want to go to Vashishtha Gufa Ashram, located on Haridwar Rishikesh Badrinath Road.
