If you are in the central area of Shillong, start at Police Bazaar. From there, head towards the main road and take a left onto the bypass road (also known as the Shillong-Mawphlang road). Continue walking along this road for about 2 kilometers until you reach the junction at Laitumkhrah. From there, take a right turn onto the road leading to Upper Shillong. Keep walking straight for about 1 kilometer; you will see signs for Elephant Falls. The entrance to the falls will be on your left.
Local Transport (Shared Taxi)
If you prefer to take a shared taxi, head to the taxi stand in Police Bazaar. Look for a taxi heading to Upper Shillong and request to be dropped off at Elephant Falls. The fare is usually around INR 50-100, depending on the number of passengers. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the entrance, you will need to walk a short distance to reach the falls.
