From the central area of Shillong (Police Bazaar), head south on GS Road towards the Pynthorumkhrah area. Walk for about 1.5 km until you reach a junction. Here, take a left onto Lumrumnong Road. Continue walking straight for about 3 km until you see a sign for New Shillong View Point on your right. The viewpoint is located just off this road, and you might have to walk a little uphill to reach the best vantage point.

From Police Bazaar, you can catch a local bus heading towards Pynthorumkhrah. This bus will take you close to the Lumrumnong Road junction. Ask the bus conductor to let you know when to get off. Once you alight, walk along Lumrumnong Road for about 1.5 km until you spot the New Shillong View Point on your right. Be prepared for a short uphill walk to the viewpoint itself.

The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. The auto-rickshaw can drop you off at the junction of Lumrumnong Road; from there, it's a short walk uphill to the viewpoint.
