Getting there

Walking

From Police Bazar, head east on GS Road towards the Meghalaya State Museum. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Lumparing Road. You can ask locals for directions if needed. Once you reach Lumparing Road, turn left and continue walking for another 1 kilometer. You'll pass by several shops and local eateries. Keep an eye out for signage or ask for directions to Sunset Point. After walking, you will eventually reach a small pathway that leads up the hill. Follow this path until you arrive at Sunset Point.

Public Transport (Bus/Shared Taxi)

From Police Bazar, take a shared taxi or local bus heading towards Lumparing. You can find shared taxis near the main market area. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Lumparing. Once you get off, walk towards Lumparing Road, which is just a short distance away. From there, walk along Lumparing Road for about 1 kilometer until you find the pathway leading to Sunset Point. If unsure, you can ask locals for further directions.

Bicycle

Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops near Police Bazar. Head east on GS Road towards the Meghalaya State Museum. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers to the intersection with Lumparing Road. Turn left onto Lumparing Road and cycle for another 1 kilometer. Be mindful of traffic as you navigate through the area. Look for the signs or locals who can point you towards the pathway that leads up to Sunset Point. The ride will give you a beautiful view of the surroundings.
