Walking
From the center of Shillong (Police Bazar), start by walking towards the main road (NH6). Head east on the main road until you reach the junction with Mawphlang Road. This should take about 15-20 minutes. Turn left onto Mawphlang Road and continue straight for approximately 4 km. You will pass through beautiful local scenery and may find local shops along the way. After about 4 km, watch for signage indicating Kyllang Rock. Follow the signs, and after a short trek of about 1 km uphill from the main road, you will reach Kyllang Rock.

Public Transport
From Police Bazar, take a local shared taxi or a bus heading towards Mawphlang. Make sure to inform the driver that you are going to Kyllang Rock. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Mawphlang village area. Once you get off, you might need to walk about 1 km uphill to reach Kyllang Rock. Follow the path that leads towards the rock, and you will find signposts that guide you along the way.
