From your location in Shillong, head to the main bus stand located at Khyndailad. Look for the bus that goes to Jowai. The buses typically depart every 30 minutes. Once you board the bus, inform the conductor that you want to get off near Tyrshi Waterfall. The journey will take approximately 2 hours. Ensure you keep an eye out for landmarks such as the Jowai District Office, as you will get off shortly after passing this point.

At the main taxi stand in Shillong, near Police Bazaar, look for shared taxis heading to Jowai. These taxis are usually available throughout the day. The fare is generally affordable and the journey will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at Jowai, you can ask the driver to drop you off near the Tyrshi Waterfall area, or you can walk towards the location from the main market area.
