Walking
If you are starting from Police Bazar, head southwest towards the main road (Khyndailad). Once you reach the roundabout at the end of Police Bazar, take the first exit onto the road leading to Wards Lake. Continue walking straight for about 10-15 minutes. You will see signs directing you to Wards Lake, which is on your right. The lake is located at HVGP+3RF, and you will see the entrance to the park on your right side.
Local Bus
From Police Bazar, find a local bus that goes towards the Shillong Club or the Upper Shillong area. Ask the bus conductor to drop you off near Wards Lake. The bus fare is minimal (around ₹10-₹20). Once you get off, walk a short distance down the road, and you will see the entrance to Wards Lake on your left.
Rickshaw
You can hire a rickshaw from Police Bazar to Wards Lake. Negotiate the fare before starting (it usually costs around ₹30-₹50). The rickshaw will take you directly to the entrance of Wards Lake. Just let the driver know your destination.
