Walking
From Police Bazar, head east on GS Road towards the Meghalaya Raj Bhavan. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the roundabout at the end of the road. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the Laitkor Road. Walk along Laitkor Road, passing through lush greenery and local shops. After about 2 kilometers, you will reach the entrance to the Laitkor Peak area. From here, follow the signs indicating the way to Shillong View Point, which is approximately a 1-kilometer hike uphill.

Public Transport (Shared Taxi)
From Police Bazar, look for shared taxis heading towards Laitkor. They usually depart from the taxi stand near the main market. Once aboard, inform the driver you want to go to Laitkor Peak. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the point closest to the entrance of Laitkor Peak. From there, you can walk to the Shillong View Point, which is about a 1-kilometer hike uphill.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Shillong, such as those near Police Bazar. Start your journey by cycling east on GS Road towards the Meghalaya Raj Bhavan. After about 1.5 kilometers, take the second exit at the roundabout onto Laitkor Road. Continue cycling for approximately 2 kilometers along Laitkor Road until you reach the Laitkor Peak entrance. Park your bicycle there and proceed on foot to the Shillong View Point, which is about a 1-kilometer hike uphill.
