Walking
From The Ridge, head down towards Mall Road. As you walk along Mall Road, enjoy the scenic views and vibrant atmosphere. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the Lower Bazaar. Instead of going down to Lower Bazaar, stay on Mall Road and continue straight. After about 300 meters, you will see a signboard indicating the direction to Viceregal Lodge. Follow the signs and take a left turn onto Chaura Maidan Road. The Viceregal Lodge will be approximately 1 kilometer ahead on this road. It is advisable to wear comfortable shoes as the route involves some uphill walking.

Rickshaw
If you prefer not to walk, you can hire an auto-rickshaw from The Ridge. Simply look for a rickshaw stand near the mall area. Negotiate the fare, which should be around ₹50 to ₹100 for a ride to Viceregal Lodge. The rickshaw will take you directly to the entrance, which is much easier if you're traveling with children or elderly companions. Ensure you mention 'Viceregal Lodge' clearly to the driver.

Another economical option is to take a local bus from the nearest bus stop on Mall Road. Look for buses heading towards Boileauganj. The fare is usually around ₹10 to ₹20. The bus will drop you off at the Boileauganj bus stop, from where you can walk approximately 500 meters uphill to reach Viceregal Lodge. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions if needed.
