If you're traveling by car, start from Coimbatore, which is about 100 km away from Cauvery Dam. Head southeast on NH 81 towards Tiruppur. After approximately 25 km, take the exit towards SH 22. Continue on SH 22 for about 55 km until you reach Puduchatram. The dam is located at RRJ9+JHC, SH 22, Puduchatram, Tamil Nadu 613105. Parking may be available near the dam site.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, take a bus from Coimbatore to Tiruppur. Buses are available frequently at Coimbatore bus station. From Tiruppur, you can catch a local bus or auto-rickshaw towards Puduchatram. The local transport may cost around INR 20-50. Inform the driver you want to go to Cauvery Dam, and they will drop you at the nearest point. From there, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the dam.
Train
You can also travel by train to Karur, which is the nearest railway station to Cauvery Dam. From your location, board a train to Karur. Once you arrive at Karur, take an auto-rickshaw or a taxi to Puduchatram. The taxi fare should be around INR 300-400, and the distance is approximately 30 km. Ask the driver to take you to the Cauvery Dam, located at RRJ9+JHC, SH 22.
