If you are starting from Chennai, take the NH45 towards Tiruchirappalli (Trichy). The journey is approximately 320 km and takes about 6-7 hours depending on traffic. Once you reach Trichy, follow the signs to the Kaveri River area, specifically heading towards Palur. You will arrive at the Kaveri River located at VJCX+C7, Palur, Tamil Nadu 620101.
Bus
From Chennai, you can take a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) bus to Tiruchirappalli. There are multiple buses that operate daily, and the fare ranges from ₹600 to ₹1000 depending on the bus type (ordinary, express, or deluxe). Once you reach the Trichy bus stand, take an auto-rickshaw or a local bus to Palur to reach the Kaveri River, which is around 30 km from the bus stand.
Train
You can board a train from Chennai Egmore or Chennai Central to Tiruchirappalli. The journey takes about 5-7 hours. Check the Indian Railways website or app for train schedules and book your tickets in advance. Upon arrival at Trichy Junction, you can take a taxi or auto-rickshaw to reach Palur, which is about 30 km away from the station.
