Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Agartala, take NH8 towards the south. Continue on NH8 for approximately 65 kilometers until you reach the town of Gandacherra. From Gandacherra, take the road towards Jampuijala, which is well-marked. This road will lead you to Paschim Kalajari. As you approach the area, look for local signage directing you towards Dumbur Waterfall. Please note that the last few kilometers may involve a narrow road, so drive carefully.

• Public Transportation

  From Agartala, you can take a bus to Gandacherra. The journey typically takes about 2 to 3 hours. Once you reach Gandacherra, you will need to hire a local taxi or an auto-rickshaw to reach Dumbur Waterfall. The taxi ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand, as there may not be a fixed rate. Expect to pay around ₹300-₹500 for the ride.

• Local Transport (Taxi/Auto-Rickshaw)

  If you are already in Gandacherra, you can hire a taxi or auto-rickshaw directly from the bus station. Ensure to confirm the cost and agree on a return trip if you plan to come back to Gandacherra after your visit. The local drivers are familiar with the area and can guide you to the waterfall.

• Walking

  Once you reach the parking area near Dumbur Waterfall, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the waterfall itself. The path is generally easy to navigate, but be cautious of wet and slippery surfaces. Enjoy the scenic beauty along the way.
