Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand. Drive towards Rishikesh on NH58, approximately 45 km away. From Rishikesh, take the road to Devprayag and continue on the road to Srinagar (Garhwal). This stretch is around 60 km. Once you reach Srinagar, take the road to Rudraprayag, which is about 35 km. From Rudraprayag, head towards Ukhimath, which is approximately 30 km away. Finally, from Ukhimath, drive to the village of Sari, which is about 10 km. The total journey from Dehradun to Sari is approximately 180 km and can take around 6-7 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. You can park your vehicle in Sari, where the trek to Deoria Tal begins.

Public Transportation (Bus)
For those opting for public transportation, you can take a bus from Dehradun to Rudraprayag. There are several state-run and private buses that operate this route. The bus journey takes around 6-7 hours. From Rudraprayag, you can take another bus or shared taxi to Ukhimath, which takes about 30 minutes. Once in Ukhimath, you can take a local taxi or shared vehicle to reach Sari, which is approximately 10 km away. The total cost for bus travel can range from INR 300 to INR 600, depending on the type of bus you choose.

Trekking from Sari
Once you reach Sari, the trek to Deoria Tal begins from here. The trek is approximately 2.5 km and takes about 1-2 hours to complete. The trail is well-marked and offers scenic views along the way. Make sure to carry enough water and snacks as there are no shops on the trail. The trek is moderately easy, making it suitable for beginners. Ensure that you wear comfortable trekking shoes and carry a light backpack with essentials.
