Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving to Flowers Valley, start from the main entrance of Valley of Flowers National Park. Follow the signs towards Auli and pay close attention to the road signs indicating the direction to Flowers Valley. The journey will take you through scenic mountain roads. Make sure to have a GPS or a reliable map, as mobile signals can be inconsistent in the area. Upon reaching the designated parking area, you will then need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers to reach the valley entrance. Ensure to check for parking fees, which may range from INR 50-100 depending on the time of year.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  To reach Flowers Valley via public transportation, take a bus from the nearest major town, Joshimath. Buses frequently run between Joshimath and Gangotri. Once you arrive at Gangotri, you can hire a local taxi for a short drive to the parking area near Flowers Valley. From the parking lot, it's a 1.5-kilometer walk to the entrance of the valley. Be sure to inquire about the bus schedules ahead of time, as they may vary, and prepare for a fare of approximately INR 300-400 for the bus ride.

• Trekking

  For the adventurous, you can consider trekking to Flowers Valley. Starting from the nearest base camp in Gangotri, you will trek for approximately 5-6 hours through beautiful landscapes. Ensure you are well-prepared with proper trekking gear and supplies. Hiring a local guide is advisable for safety and navigation. The trek costs may include guide fees, which typically range from INR 1500-3000 depending on the guide’s experience.
