Ramakrishna Beach developed as part of Visakhapatnam’s expanding urban waterfront rather than as an isolated resort settlement. The name Ramakrishna Beach is commonly associated with the Ramakrishna Mission presence in the wider waterfront area, although the beach’s modern identity was shaped as much by municipal planning and public use as by religious association.
