Depending on your starting location in West India, you may take the National Highway 48 (NH48) if you are coming from Mumbai or the NH65 from Pune. Be prepared for tolls on these highways, which can range from INR 50 to 300 depending on your vehicle type and entry/exit points.
Train
For those traveling by train, book a ticket to New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS), which is well connected with major cities in West India. Upon arrival at NDLS, you can take a local auto-rickshaw or taxi to India Gate. The distance is about 3 kilometers and should cost around INR 100-150 by auto-rickshaw.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take a bus to India Gate from the nearest bus terminal in your city. In New Delhi, you can use the Delhi Metro. Board the Yellow Line and get off at the 'Central Secretariat' station. From there, you can walk to India Gate, which is approximately 2 kilometers away. Alternatively, you can take a cycle-rickshaw for a cost of about INR 50.
Metro
If you are in the Delhi NCR region, take the Delhi Metro to the 'Khan Market' station on the Violet Line. From there, you can hire a taxi or auto-rickshaw to India Gate, which is approximately 3 kilometers away. The fare should be around INR 100-150.
