If you're driving, start from Munnar, which is about 12 km away from Rajamalai Peak. Take the NH85 road towards Rajakkad, and then follow the signboards toward Rajamalai. The drive is scenic, but be cautious of the winding roads. Once you reach the entrance of the Eravikulam National Park, you will need to park your car. The parking fee is approximately INR 50. From the parking area, you will need to take a park bus to the Rajamalai area, which costs around INR 100 per person. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transport, catch a bus from Munnar to Rajamalai. Local buses operate regularly, and the fare is around INR 20-30. Inform the conductor that you're going to Rajamalai Peak. The bus will drop you off at the base of the Eravikulam National Park. From there, you will need to purchase an entry ticket (approximately INR 125 for Indians and INR 600 for foreign tourists) and then take the park bus to Rajamalai, which costs INR 100 per person. The total journey may take around 1.5 to 2 hours.
Taxi
Hiring a taxi from Munnar to Rajamalai Peak is another convenient option. Taxis are readily available and can be booked through local providers.
