Turn left onto 116th Street and walk for about 1 mile until you reach the Monon Trail. Follow the Monon Trail south for approximately 2 miles until it intersects with the downtown area of Indianapolis. Continue on the Monon Trail, and you will see signs for the Indianapolis Public Library. The library is located at 40 E St Clair St, which is just a short walk from the trail.

    From Carmel, walk to the nearest bus stop for the IndyGo bus service. Take the Route 18 bus towards the Downtown Indianapolis Transfer Center. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Transfer Center, walk east on Washington St for about 0.3 miles until you reach the Indianapolis Public Library located at 40 E St Clair St.
