Getting There

• Public Bus

  From downtown Elkhart, locate the nearest bus stop for the Transpo public bus system. Board Route 10 in the direction of Elkhart East. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at East Bristol Street and North Main Street. From there, transfer to Route 2 towards the Elkhart High School. Get off at the stop closest to the intersection of Co Rd 4 and Co Rd 17, which is a short walk from Elkhart Campground. Walk east on Co Rd 4 for about half a mile until you reach the campground entrance at 25608 Co Rd 4. Total travel time may vary, but expect about 45-60 minutes.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local rental shop in Elkhart. Head east on East Jackson Boulevard, then take a left onto North Main Street. Follow North Main Street until it becomes Co Rd 4. Continue on Co Rd 4 for approximately 3 miles. The campground will be on your right at 25608 Co Rd 4. This route is mostly flat and should take around 20-30 minutes, depending on your pace.

• Walking

  If you are within a reasonable walking distance, head east on East Jackson Boulevard from downtown Elkhart. Continue straight until you reach North Main Street. Turn left onto North Main Street and continue walking until you reach Co Rd 4. Turn right onto Co Rd 4 and walk about 1.5 miles. Elkhart Campground will be located on your right at 25608 Co Rd 4. The walk should take about 30-40 minutes.
