• Car

  If you are driving from any central location in Hoosier National Forest, such as from the Hoosier National Forest Visitor Center located at 811 Broadview Ave, Bedford, IN 47421, take IN-37 North for approximately 20 miles. Then, take exit 72 towards IN-46 West. Continue on IN-46 West for about 12 miles until you reach Nashville, IN. Once in Nashville, turn left onto Yellowwood Lake Rd. Follow this road for about 2 miles, and you will arrive at the entrance of Yellowwood State Forest, located at 772 Yellowwood Lake Rd, Nashville, IN 47448.

• Public Transportation

  Public transportation options are limited in this rural area. If you're starting from Bloomington, IN, take a bus to Nashville, IN via the Bloomington Transit. From the Bloomington Transit Center, take Route 2 to the convention center, and from there, you may need to call a local taxi service (like Yellow Cab) to get to Yellowwood State Forest, as it's approximately 10 miles away from Nashville. Expect to pay around $20-$30 for the taxi ride.

  For adventurous visitors, biking is an option. If you are near Nashville, you can bike along Yellowwood Lake Rd, which leads directly into Yellowwood State Forest.
