Public Transit - Bus
If you're near downtown Indianapolis, you can take the IndyGo bus service. Locate the nearest bus stop and board a bus on Route 8, which travels towards the downtown area. Make sure to check the bus schedule on the IndyGo website or app for the most current times. Disembark at the stop closest to W New York St. From there, walk westward for about five minutes until you reach Military Park at 601 W New York St.
Walking
If you are already in the downtown area, you can walk to Military Park. Start at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument located at Monument Circle. Head west on Washington St for 0.4 miles until you reach the intersection with W New York St. Turn left onto W New York St, and continue walking for about 0.2 miles. Military Park will be on your left at 601 W New York St.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the numerous bike-share stations around downtown. Head towards the south end of the Canal Walk and follow the path westward. When you reach the intersection with W New York St, turn left and continue until you reach Military Park at 601 W New York St. There are bike racks available for parking at the park.
